Deerfos Tufbak Waterproof Sanding Sheets give an ultimate cut and life in wet applications. The improved resin-bond system enables a long life in wet applications. The high strength B-Weight, high-latex, waterproof paper backing has the benefits of ultimate flexibility with wet-curl resistance. The sanding sheets are environmentally stable, meaning they resist humidity-caused curling.
Light, Smooth, Waterproof Backing
Our 3M™ Wetordry™ products are backed with a durable waterproof paper backing that supports wet and dry applications. Lighter weight than cloth and smooth rather than textured, the paper backing is preferable for lighter applications such as finishing and paint prep. At the same time, many such applications produce a significant amount of dust, clogging the abrasive points and creating an inferior work environment. These effects can be minimized by sanding with water to rinse the dust away.
Our Fastest-Cutting Abrasive Mineral
Silicon carbide is a very hard mineral that cuts extremely fast. In fact, it is our fastest-cutting mineral abrasive. It features sharp points that fracture easily, resulting in freshly exposed sharp edges that produce a smooth, professional-looking finish. The mineral has a shorter life, but it produces a superior finish.
More Effective Sanding for More Effective Operations
We put plenty of science behind our 3M™ Wetordry™ Abrasive Sheet 401Q — and not just to improve your finished work. These abrasive sheets make the entire sanding process easier, from the durability of each sheet during wet sanding to faster cutting to easier buffing for faster production times and less labor cost. It’s another way that 3M helps auto body professionals get the most from their operations.

उत्पाद व्यवहार्यता
Electric coated abrasive sandpaper refers to a specialized type of sandpaper that incorporates an abrasive coating for use with electric-powered sanding tools. These sandpapers are designed to be compatible with various electric sanders, such as orbital sanders, belt sanders, random orbit sanders, and detail sanders, enhancing efficiency and precision in sanding operations.
Key features and aspects of electric coated abrasive sandpaper include:
-
Abrasive Coating: Electric coated abrasive sandpaper is embedded or coated with abrasive particles on one side. These abrasives can include materials like aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, zirconia alumina, or ceramic, offering different levels of hardness and grit sizes suitable for various sanding tasks.
-
Backing Material: The sandpaper’s backing material provides support and stability during sanding operations. Backing materials commonly used include paper, cloth, polyester film, or a combination of these materials, offering flexibility or rigidity as needed.
-
Compatibility with Electric Sanders: These sandpapers are designed specifically for use with electric sanding tools. They come in various shapes, sizes, and configurations to fit different sanding machines, allowing for efficient sanding on flat surfaces, edges, contours, or intricate details.
-
Grit Variations: Electric coated abrasive sandpapers are available in a range of grit sizes, from coarse to fine. Coarser grits (lower numbers) are suitable for heavy material removal or leveling surfaces, while finer grits (higher numbers) are used for finishing and smoothing surfaces.
-
Applications: They are utilized in woodworking, metalworking, automotive refinishing, construction, and DIY projects. These sandpapers are effective for tasks such as removing paint, smoothing wood surfaces, shaping metal, refining finishes, and preparing surfaces for painting or staining.
-
Durability and Longevity: The quality of the abrasive coating and backing materials ensures durability and longevity, allowing for prolonged use before needing replacement.
-
Dust Management: Some electric coated abrasive sandpapers come with features to minimize dust accumulation during sanding, improving visibility and reducing the need for frequent cleanups.
-
Efficiency and Precision: These sandpapers, when used with electric sanders, offer enhanced efficiency, speed, and precision in sanding operations compared to manual sanding methods.
-
Variety of Configurations: They are available in different forms, including sheets, discs, belts, rolls, or pads, catering to the specific requirements of various sanding applications and machines.
Electric coated abrasive sandpaper serves as a crucial tool for achieving smooth, uniform surfaces and efficient material removal when utilizing electric sanding equipment. Their abrasive coatings, coupled with the backing materials, contribute to effective sanding across a wide range of materials and projects.
